Being commander of Green Ridge Memorial Post 926 during the COVID-19 pandemic has been a real challenge. I never imagined having to close our doors as we did during the lockdown this spring, or the challenges we've faced since re-opening in June. These times have reinforced for me the meaning of Legion Family. The post is more than a place where members and comrades come to enjoy a beer and swap stories. It's about what we do for our community to let them know we continue to serve, and will be here for veterans. I'm walking my 100 miles for veterans and children. I have 88 miles to go by Veterans Day. #LegionStrong
