Here I am on the Verrazano Bridge at Assateague Island, Md., during one of the cycling legs of my 100-miles journey.

100 miles in three states

Wyalusing, PA

My completion of The American Legion's 100 Miles for Hope involved running and cycling in three states over the past three months.
Some of my runs were completed near my home in Wyalusing, Pa., in the hilly terrain of northeast Pennsylvania.
Other runs took place at Sampson State Park and Robert Treman State Park in upstate New York.
Finally, the balance of my miles were logged cycling and running at Maryland's Assateague Island State Park.
This was a fun experience for me, especially considering how many running events were canceled this year due to the pandemic.
