I went through San Diego for boot camp. We had to mark all our clothes. We went to the mess hall for lunch. After lunch, we went to a room to mark our clothes. I'm marking my last pair of white pants. I'm 5 foot 7 inches tall, and the pants were for someone 6' tall. The other recruit had my sea bag and I had his. We had to stencil DC in red on his name on my clothes and the same for him. The company Commander was so damn mad at us. I will never forget that day. The company number was 647. I made it through boot camp.
