The only thing Boot Camp can't take away!

Back in 1954, Boot Camp was new experience for me. There were a lot of things going on such as standing naked in a long line to get the uniform and shots, the hair cut, shaving, the tests and marching. But what made the biggest impression on me was when an Officer came in and lectured us saying that the only thing we had left was our attitude. I made sure mine was a good one! It stood me well through four years in uniform and beyond.
