Prank at basic training

In January 1965, I enlisted in the Air Force and was sent to Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. We were put up in old two-story World War II barracks. After a few days of getting used to being yelled at, I—being a bit of a joker—decided it would be fun to do something funny. We were required to place our clothing and boots on our footlockers, so we could be dressed in a short time for roll call. Well, after lights out and with the help of one of my friends, we went and changed everyone's clothing from one locker to another. To say the least, when the horn went off the next morning you can only imagine what it was like watching everyone trying to put on someone's uniform other than his own.
