I went through Air Force basic in the summer of 1970. After our graduation ceremonies, we met in the Day Room to get our assignments. I happened to be the Dorm Chief for our flight. My DI asked me, “How did you like basic?”
I replied, “Well, it’s kind of like a bee sting, sir. Won’t kill you, but I don’t want another one”.
