Surprising MOS classification

Entering the Air Force in 1963 with a test result of 97% mechanical aptitude would have made you think Motor Pool. Guess what those medical corpsmen needed. The same concept as a mechanic. That's what I did for 4 years and ended up enjoying it. Working on a body is pretty much the same. It helped me later when I was in Law Enforcement for a career and delivering medical care. What was a funny thing at Basic was the firing range when it seemed to me all the targets down there all looked the same. I ended up shooting at someone else's. The TI sat me down after a little; WTF were you thinking. Passed me anyway. Being a road guard for the flight I was in was great as we didn't have to march on the field as much as the rest of the guys. After I got out of basic, I thought forever after that it would be neat to do it all over again.
Four years of a great time in my life.
