American Legion Post 219 in Alexandria, Kentucky, held their first VA S.A.V.E. training in October 2023. We invited the VFW post 3205 and Post 219 Auxiliary. We had a great turn-out and the instructor from the Cincinnati, Ohio, VA Hospital was very informative. The session fostered a lot of conversations that are needed and deeply personal. We have a great group of veterans that are willing to step up. One of our newer members, a Navy veteran nurse, lead the way getting our post to "Be the One" for our community and within our veteran family. We are fiercely proud of where we are and willing to go to help our veterans in need.
