On Sept. 24, 2022, veterans participated in an 11-mile ruck from Gouldsboro American Legion Post 274 to Moscow American Legion Post 579. This event was to raise awareness for veteran suicide and to provide veterans access to mental health care. The veterans carried 22 lbs. of locally donated food on their backs to represent the veterans who die daily. The proceeds raised benefit the North Pocono Food Pantry, Patriots Cove and the Moss Rehab Institute for Brain Health.
