During the American Legion Department of Louisiana State Convention held in Alexandria from June 7-10, 2018, Glenn McFarlain (center) of James O. Hall Post 19 of the American Legion from Jennings accepted on his Post’s behalf the State Multimedia Award (Division 3). Presenting the award were State Commander Rodney Holliday (right) and Terry Sharp (left) of the Commission on Media & Communication. The Post was recognized for furthering the mission, message and programs of the American Legion through national publication venues. In addition to submitting stories to the Jennings Daily News for local coverage, the post has submitted articles for publication to Legiontown USA, an online journal of the American Legion National Headquarters.
