The American Legion Northampton Post 56 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year (2018) is Northampton County Sheriff Deputy Tara Leckel, accepting the award from Past Commander Bill Stramm. Deputy Leckel was also selected as Virginia’s American Legion Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. She will accept that award on July 14, 2018.
