On Wednesday, May 8, 2019, American Legion Post 11 Commander Keith Clevenger honored two top Navy JROTC cadets with medals and certificates of appreciation during the Governor Thomas Johnson High School Navy Jr. ROTC awards ceremony.
Cadet Molly Riegell received the Military Excellence Bronze Medal and Cadet Owen Turnball received the Scholastic Excellence Bronze Medal. Post 11 also awarded the Patriot Navy Jr. ROTC a $500 donation to support the program.
