Members of Ryan Winslow Post 911 - Ginger Branson, Patti Douglas and Barry Nance - attended the inaugural Yellowhammer American Legion College held May 20-22. Twenty-one members from posts in the 21st and 23rd districts attended the school.
Ron Bradstreet was the college's chancellor.
The theme of the three-day school was Developing Tomorrow's Leaders Today.
Yellowhammer College was designed to be a mini-version of the weeklong American Legion College. Classes included Robert’s Rules of Order, Legion programs on Americanism and protocol (saluting, traditions and ceremony of The American Legion).
“It was an honor to be chosen as one of the 21 participants of the inaugural Yellowhammer American Legion College,” said Post 911 adjutant Ginger Branson. “I got to meet people in the leadership of several Legion posts that I didn’t know and got to know others better.”
