At the start of WWII my father, H.E. Pierce, had three years in the Army Air Corps. His brothers Jim and Dallas joined the Marines; Jim was in Panama, Dallas in Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima. Brother Garland was in the Navy, and as the treaty was signed with Japan brother Ed was in Navy boot camp.
In 1969 I was on my third tour with the Navy Seabees when my brother Garry showed up, a second round of Pierce brothers.
