Post 731 makes all World War II, Korean and Vietnam War post members honorary life members

San Diego, CA

On March 12, aboard USS Midway, Post 731 officers commemorate a historic move by the membership of the post to provide honorary life memberships in The American Legion to all World War II, Korean and Vietnam-era veterans who are members of Post 731.
Three post members from each war era were chosen to receive their respective war ballcaps in representing their members. The officers and members enjoyed a tour and luncheon aboard the aircraft carrier, provided by the post.
In making the presentations, Commander Nikolai Camarato, an Iraq/Afghanistan combat veteran, declared that Post 731 honors those who came before us as we continue to fight for those serving in the future.
