American Legion Braxton-Perkins Post 25 Family places U.S. flags at Peninsula Memorial Cemetery

Braxton-Perkins Post 25 - Newport News, VA

On Saturday, May 23, members from American Legion Braxton-Perkins Post 25 placed 3,000 U.S. flags at veterans' gravesites within Peninsula Memorial Cemetery in Newport News, Va.
Due to COVID-19, the post received help in placing the flags from American Legion Auxiliary Braxton-Perkins Unit 25, Sons of The American Legion Braxton-Perkins Squadron 25, American Legion Harry S. Foster Post 67 and Sons of The American Legion Squadron 67 in Hampton.
In addition to Peninsula Memorial Cemetery, the Braxton-Perkins Family placed flags at Greenlawn and Pleasant Slade cemeteries.
Following the placement of the flags, Post 25 Commander Sean Devlin was interviewed by local CBS affiliate WTKR Channel 3.
The next event for American Legion Braxton-Perkins Post 25 will be its virtual Memorial Day Ceremony. The virtual event will be shot at The Victory Arch at 11 a.m. Eastern time.
