We are a third-generation American Legion family. My dad was in WWII. Korea and MSTS in the Vietnam War. We have served many dinners at our Legion Hall in Cloverdale, Calif., and now my daughter is teaching her sons about how to honor a true veteran. This past Memorial Day she shared a picture she took of her boys at the grave of a true veteran who gave his life, as many people have done, for us to live in the land of the free. It really is a blessing to see this in this time of our lives with the pandemic we are living with. God bless America.
