Honoring those lost from Bristol and surrounding area from Vietnam War

Post 2 - BRISTOL, CT

Post 2 set up a display at the Bristol Public Library in Bristol, Conn. It contained items left at the Wall That Heals when it came to Bristol in 2016. The post took charge of the items when the Wall departed. For many years it has been looking for a home for the items. Working with the city and public library, Post 2 has found a home. The items will be donated to the library, which in return is purchasing a display case to house the items to be shown year-round. The display is up until June 8, at which time it will be packed away until September. At that time the display will be dedicated as part of the town's Mum Festival. This year the 17 from Bristol who did not make it home from Vietnam are honored as the Home Town Heroes. The display is in their honor.
