American Legion 104th Birthday celebration

Temple, TX

Post 133 in Temple, Texas, celebrated the 104th birthday of The American Legion on March 15, 2023, with an open house for all local area veterans and members of Post 133. Guest speaker William West, Department of Texas adjutant, spoke to the attendees about the history of the Legion and its accomplishments over the past 104 years. In conjunction with the open house was the dedication of two newly installed flagpoles in front of the post. In attendance were Department of Texas Vice Commander Tom Marty, Department Treasurer Steve Cook, candidate for Department Commander Gene Toohey, members of Post 133, Auxiliary Unit 133, SAL Squadron 133 and several veterans from the local community.
