In 1975, while in basic training we had to do the drill of reporting to a superior officer. Having the name of Porter followed by Reporting, add a little nervousness, was a recipe for disaster... Of course I screwed it up..The TI decided I needed practice, and should go to each and every bunk and locker and report to it/them...when I got to a certain bunk where a favorite pick-on was, the TI stated "this ought to be good ... A dummy reporting to a dummy...."
