Lt. Col. Magnolia Mosley

I was stationed at the casualty unit, Scott AFB during the Tet Offensive in 1968 when Maj. Mosley arrived from the Philippines.
She immediately went to work to improve treatments and comfort for the hundreds of sick and wounded we received. Maj. Mosley specialized in aero vac
and nursing. She tried to visit with each patient to ensure all were treated and comfortable. She would listen and then tell them how proud she was of their service and sacrifice. She arranged for baseball players, football players and even Playboy bunnies from St. Louis to visit the patients on a regular basis.
Maj. Mosley received a promotion to Lt. Col. and honored me with the task of pinning on her silver leaves.
The entire staff of nurses, corpsmen and civilians were disappointed when she received orders and left for another overseas assignment.
God Bless Lt. Col. Magnolia Mosley for her leadership, and the care she provided to our sick and wounded. I'll never forget her.
