Nurses aboard USS Tranquillity

USS Tranquillity, 1943-1944

After seeing the article requesting info on nurses in the military, I remembered I had received a scrapbook from my aunt Helen Kulpowicz Bowser which contained a number of photographs from WWII, specifically regarding picking up survivors from USS Indianapolis after it was sunk after delivering the atom bomb to Guam. The photos show a bit about life on the ship for the medical staff. I have additional photos, but these are the most significant.
