Bristol (Conn.) police chief stops by to thank Post 2 for its support and help

American Legion, Post 2, Bristol, Conn., had a special guest at its monthly meeting in May. The chief of police for the City of Bristol stopped by. Chief Brian Gould of the Bristol Police Department was there to present a special thank-you to Post 2 for their help and support for the many months since the killing of two officers from Bristol in an ambush.
Post 2 has a number of active and retired police officers of the members.
A plaque was presented to the post commander on behalf of the officers of the Bristol Police Department. Post 2 arranged for the department to meet at the hall, picking up all costs while arranging for the correct flags for all the ceremonies given for the slain officers.
Post 2 was part of the support given to the police department by the City of Bristol.
