The American Legion Sam Houston Post 95 flags are being flown at half-mast today, 9/11/23, in honor of Patriot Day and in memoriam for the 3,000 lives lost on 9/11/2001.
The U.S. flag should be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sundown, not just until noon as is done on Memorial Day.
Post Commander John Nixon and our honor guard tended to this important task, and our flags are proudly displayed.
