My name is Connie Hellwig, and I organized a nonprofit to do my part as a civilian and support the U.S. military by helping disabled veterans pay for the expenses to not only keep, but keep well, their service dog. It's called Feed the Dog, Inc., and helps pay for things including premium dog food, grooming, veterinary care, expensive harness equipment, yard fencing and everyday supplies.
