Teaneck Post 128, Bergen County, covered the bases on Memorial Day weekend in that members of the post, SAL, Auxiliary unit and sponsored Boy Scout Troop 106 placed flags at gravesites on Saturday and Sunday, and participated in the township service ceremonies, placing a wreath at the memorial monument, emceeing the event and providing a speech honoring specific towns; men and women who gave all in WWII.
On the week leading up to Memorial Day we hosted a home-cooked meal and a session of bingo for 30 mostly wheelchair-bound vets from the Parasmus, N.J., veterans memorial home.
