American Legion M.I.A. Post 231 “Moving On Up”!!

Pottsboro, TX

American Legion M.I.A Post 231 of Pottsboro, Texas, opened the doors to its new building on Dec. 1, 2018. The old building was flooded and had to be demolished after Lake Texoma hit a record level of 645.72 feet in May 2015. More than three years later and 12 feet higher, the post is finally opening its doors again to members and guests.

It has been a long, tough road. Many members, friends and family have gone to post everlasting in the last three years. Although their loss was felt by many, spirits were high in anticipation of new friendships and memories to be made. The grand opening will be scheduled at a later date. Everyone should check out our Facebook page or website at www.al231.com for a schedule of meeting times, events and family fun activities.

To all our Legionnaires, Sons, Auxiliary and Rider members, we say “Welcome Home!!”
