Our Auxiliary members at Post 79, Riverside, Calif. (at Fairmount Park) felt the need to do Buddy Checks for our members during this Coronavirus lockdown. We divided up our memberships and our officers made the calls and/or emails to our members. This is a really good idea, keeping our members and families close and in contact. Some members are elderly and really appreciated the contact. Once out of lockdown we were able to get together to have a baby shower for our lady veterans at the Veterans Hospital in Loma Linda. We collected $400. worth of diapers, baby bibs, clothing for moms and babies, and baby bath items. We are still tending to our veterans who are all in our hearts, and serving them as we are able. Thank you for a great idea.
