Girl State participants getting ready for Tallahassee

Belleview, FL

Belleview (Fla.) American Legion Auxiliary Unit 284 sent five girls to Tallahassee for one week to learn about the government of the state of Florida. While there they assumed the roles of government leaders, campaigning as Federalists and Nationalists to become mayors, and county and state officials of their American Legion Auxiliary Girls State. The learning, experience, memories and friendship last a lifetime.
