Articles about veterans

Hello,

My name is Larry A. Williams. In the summer of 2012, I ran across a fundraising table at a local supermarket about the local chapter of the Honor Flight which was just beginning here on the South Plains. I went to the first meeting and was hooked on the program and went on our first Honor Flights in 2012 and 2013. I have now been on the committee for six years and to date, we have taken 422 veterans on an all-expense paid 3 day trip to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials and museums built in their and their fallen buddies honor.

In 2013, I was approached by Erin Agee, the owner of the local Senior Link Magazine. She asked me to write articles about our South Plains area veterans. I enlisted the aid of Katherine Mclamore who is also on the Honor Flight committee and we began interviewing, recording and writing about our Honor Flight veterans. To date, I have either wrote or co-wrote over 40 articles. Every fall, Erin put out what she likes to call a veteran's edition of the magazine and she enlists the aid of other writers or family members to include articles about a veteran in their family or that they know.

I would like to share these stories with the American Legion family if possible.
Let me know if this is something you would be interested in .
