In the photo, Leo G. Belisle (past New Hampshire department commander from 1964-65), is surrounded by other past department commanders on a special occasion. Merrill-Follansbee Post 37 Commander David McCormack recognized PDC Belisle with a National Commander Oxford signed certificate. Leo has 76 continuous years in The American Legion.

Currently, Leo is almost 97 years old and the oldest N.H. department commander. What is unique about the event is that Hooksett Post 37 actually has two 76 continuous year members. Roger Hebert of Hooksett, the other recipient, was unable to make the presentation event.
