Several Winona ALR members took part in welcoming 93 veterans home Saturday night at Colgan Air hanger No. 4 at the La Crosse Regional Airport. Ninety-three World War II and Korean War veterans from the tri-state area boarded a Freedom Honor Flight early Saturday morning to see the war memorials in Washington. The veterans and their guardians left La Crosse around 7 a.m. Saturday morning. I highly recommend, if you ever get the chance, that you welcome these veterans home - to do so is an honor.
