To the best of my knowledge my late father (Roy H. Davison, DVM, OS Class of '41) was the only post-graduate veterinarian to serve as an enlisted combat medic during WW2. There were 122 post-graduate enlisted veterinarians (ref. National Archives) who served during WW2.

He was a longtime member of Winchester, Tenn.'s American Legion Post 44.
