Synepuxent Post 166 "Wall of Valor"

Synepuxent Post 166 - Ocean City, MD

The Wall of Valor
This past year has seen a lot of changes to Synepuxent Post 166 at 2308 Philadelphia Ave., Ocean City, MD; we've given the old building a new coat of vinyl siding, new windows and soon we will be taking on the bar/lounge area. However, we were left with empty windows that we closed up on the north (24th Street side). There was some discussion about including them in the residing program, but it was finally decided to use them to tell a story about our veterans and the wars they fought in. Each window area now tells a story, and you might want to stop by and take in those stories. We renamed the 24th Street side "The Wall of Valor" and you can see below the stories told by the windows. Many thanks to Korean War veteran Eric Nilsson for spearheading this project. You can see what each window looks like by going to our web page at: http://www.alpost166.org/index.php?id=98&number=1.
