NEADS-Canines for Combat Veterans introduces RHODY, a now 10 week old puppy being trained as a service dog. RHODY is sponsored by DEPT OF RI American Legion Auxiliary (President Marge Walsh's project) and Post & Unit 18 of Portsmouth, RI. Named in honor of Rhode Island, RHODY is currently living in the "puppy house" at the NEADS campus and undergoing obedience training. If RHODY successfully graduates from the most intensive level of training, he will then be placed with a deserving combat wounded veteran.
