Post Family 132 honors Patriot Day!

Orange Post 132 - Orange, CA

Baking for our local heroes! On Saturday morning, Sept. 9, a handful of wonderful Post 132 Family members volunteered to bake over 40 dozen cookies in honor of the upcoming Patriot Day on 9/11.
It was a repeat of last year's event, but with a few exceptions: We had over 200 people at our post that day for a special department meeting. Our Junior ALA and SAL handed out a freshly baked cookie to each in attendance. The Legion Riders had their meeting and came back to deliver cookies to the Orange Police Department and Fire Station #4 and nine other stations in Orange. Boxes were also delivered to St. Joseph Hospital Emergency, a major hub for our fire department and paramedics/first respondents to our City of Orange.
We are very proud of our Post 132 Family as all came through for this event to show what volunteerism is about. Cookie dough was donated by members and so appreciated.
