Donation To DAV VAN Project

American Legion Post 155 family which includes the American Legion Post 155, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 155, Son's Of The American Legion Squadron 155, Legion Riders Chapter 155, Citrus 40/8 Voiture & Cabane 1219 presents a series of checks totaling over $1,500 to Richard Floyd Commander of DAV Chapter 70.

DAV Chapter 70 is conducting a fundraising drive to raise $25,000 for a new van to transport local veterans to their appointments at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville. The American Legion family made its first installment of donations towards a new DAV van that is used to transport area disabled veterans from Citrus County. The current van has close to 150,000 miles. The van is assigned to the Lecanto Community Based Outpatient Clinic, Lecanto as part of the DAV Transportation Network Program.

The American Legion family encourages the community, area businesses, veterans and fellow citizens to raise money for this great cause.
