The American Legion Paradise Post 149 continues with Operation Vegas Heroes, a project they have been working for seven years. With the sincere thanks and gratitude to the members of the Desert Springs United Methodist Church, Post 149 members collected 250 cubic feet of food and toiletries, and over $700 in gift cards and donations, to distribute to local veterans in need. Working with the Veterans Care Assistance Program, a food pantry supported by the Catholic Veterans of Nevada Charity Foundation, Operation Vegas Heroes ensures that many Veterans will have food for the holidays.
