Post 1214 supports Quilts of Valor program for entire year

Springfield, MO

Women Veterans of Southwest Missouri Post 1214 recently showed their support for the Ozark Piecemakers Quilt Guild's "Quilts of Valor" program, which provides handmade quilts for combat veterans in Southwest Missouri. Thanks to donations by post members, as well as proceeds from a pancake breakfast fundraiser held in July 2017, Post 1214 was able to donate 190.5 yards of fabric, nine rolls of batting and a check to the group for $606. During the presentation, Connie Bradford, Quilts of Valor coordinator, with tears in her eyes, said this donation would last them an entire year.
