Welcome to Cranford.

Getting it done

Cranford, NJ

When the coronavirus forced the cancellation of the Atlantic City Regional Stand Down, the Department of New Jersey Employment, Homeless and Education Committee put their thinking caps on and said, "The need is still there; how can we help our homeless vets?” Thus as born the Atlantic City Regional Stand Down-Mobile.
The first Mobile Stand Down was held on Oct. 9, 2020. The committee held the sixth Mobile Stand Down on May 2 in Cranford, N.J. Events have been held in five counties, from the southern shore to the New York City bedroom communities of the north.
With the support of local VSO’s, the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, the three VA health centers that service the state, and numerous other organizations that provide veterans services, they have been able to provide critical services to veterans who otherwise wouldn’t have easy access to services. There are currently plans for two more events in the coming month.

All veterans registered so there can be follow-up after the event.

Catholic Charities has been a strong partner since the inception of the ACRSD.

New Jersey Elks are one of those other organizations doing good things for our veterans.

NJ DMAVA is another critical service provider for our events.
