Romeoville (Ill.) American Legion post 52 has partnered with Habitat for Humanity to bring to fruition the Ray Holloway House, a veterans housing project instituted nearly 10 years ago by the members of Post 52. Although the concept has gone through many concepts, they will be building a single-family home in Crest Hill, Ill., for a deserving veteran family who has put “sweat equity” into the Habitat for Humanity program to qualify. This house will stand in honor and remembrance of Ray Holloway, a Marine veteran, former Romeoville village clerk and Post 52 member.
