Casey Nash at her very first event in Midway speaking to veterans about still serving through the American Legion

 

1st Woman Veteran installed into 1St District of Georgia

Midway, GA

Casey Nash, 38, will lead the way in her district as being the 1ST Woman to be installed as 1ST District Commander. She served in the Army for 12 years as a transportation logistician, during her time serving she deployed four times throughout Iraq, Afghanistan, and a tour in Korea. She completed her associates degree in transportation and logistics management from American Military University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Georgia Southern university. Her family, Sampson (spouse), Jon (18) and Makayla (16) are all huge supporters and all members of the legion family. She brings an amazing energy to each post as she visits and has some great ideas to bring to the American Legion. She is thrilled to grow and learn more from her fellow veterans as she guides the 1ST District into a new year. Her Post home Post 321 East Liberty County, GA has watched her blossom into an outstanding volunteer and member. Her theme for the upcoming year for 1ST District: reconnect, reward, renew.
