Chapter 112 in Benson, Neb., held their annual Thank A Vet tour. This event takes us to several local assisted living and independent living centers. Typically, we would go inside and visit with the veterans and listen to them tell their stories from when they served, while eating cookies and drinking punch. Unfortunately with the COVID-19 outbreak, we were unable to go inside and meet with them. Instead, we circled the parking lots, revving our engines, honking our horns and waving to the residents. They love seeing us come around. And we were able to see some great smiles on our elder heroes. It was a great day for riding. But mostly, it was great to remind our senior veterans that they are not forgotten and we appreciate their sacrifices!

While I am not a member of Chapter 112, it was a honor to ride with them on this amazing event.
