I graduated from a small country school in rural southeast Texas, with 51 other students.

A little over 3 weeks later I joined the Air Force.

I do not recommend going to San Antonio TX for Basic in the summertime. The first day of training was total chaos with confusion,yelling and screaming, as the day finally ended we settled in for the evening some guys were crying wanting to go home claiming they had never been yelled at like that before in their life.

I told one of the guys that this wasn't nothing, my Mama used to yell at me like this so I knew I was going to make it with no problems.

I finished my Air Force Career with a Medical Retirement with the rank of Staff Sergeant. When things get sticky I still look back on those days.
