See the world.

In the spring of 1966, I was among a small group of AFROTC cadets sent to Scott AFB for a precommissing physical.

Along the way, we were put in an empty room, told to line up shoulder to shoulder & "drop trouser". Soon, two lowly airmen appeared, one with a flashlight, the other I don't remember.

We were informed that when the airmen appeared behind each of us we were to bend over and spread our cheeks. The one airman would shine his flashlight on the target area & the other would make an observation.

When they got to me, I spoke loud enough for all to hear, "Join the Air Force and see the world".

It was cruel, but, opportunity had knocked.
