During the night "run" at the Army's Obstacle Course at Ft. Knox, Ky. I decided to continue my roll out of the trench to avoid further traumatizing my elbows and knees from the crawling.

I soon rolled against a barricade which turned out to be a bunker which set off charges to simulate enemy bombs exploding. Then the lights were turned on to simulate enemy flares and I opened my eyes to see that I was alone, yards and yards in front of everyone else.

As the lights went off, the bunker was detonated, and I swear my entire body was lifted 6" off the ground!

Needless to say I waited for the other recruits to catch up before continuing my crawl to the end!
