Perry "brothers"

In Air Force basic, we had two recruits in our flight with the last name Perry (not the real name). One Perry was from Chicago, an African-American, short and stocky, built like a fire plug. The other Perry was from the State of Maine, Caucasian, tall, thin and lanky, like a bean pole.
In one of our classrooms, the instructor was taking roll and called ‘Perry”, and then “Perry” again. Then he stated, “we have two Perry’s in the class”. From the back you heard, “No relation, sir”.
