I was taking basic training at Fort Knox, Ky. We were in rank outside our quarters getting our mail call. I got my hometown paper and was reading it standing in formation. Our drill sergeant called me up front to get in the prone position, then stuck the comics under my face and told me to read the comics to the platoon real loud so everyone could hear them.
