Breakfast at Fort Jackson

It happened during the first few days of basic training in the early sixties. A young new recruit came through the chow line and hollered to the head chef who was making all the eggs on a large grill, make mine sunny side up Sarge. The veteran chef was so upset that he stepped back and let all the eggs burn up. He then said out loud that he has been in the Army for 20 years and this new recruit has just arrived and he is trying to tell me how to make my eggs.
