On June 19, 2023, Legion members Keith Koster and Dan Lynch held the first Be the One ride (on bicycles), leaving Adirondack Post 70 in Saratoga Springs at about 9 a.m. Dan and Keith picked up Pat Wells (Unit 70 member) on the Zim Smith Trail en route to Lt. Fred H. Clark Post 91 in Mechanicville. After a brief refreshment the group traveled to Henry F. Lefko Post 1644 in Riverside. Our next leg of the journey was to Earl J. Manning Post 490 in Stillwater for some lunch before heading to Henry Cornell Post 234 in Ballston Spa. After some conversation and discussion on Be the One, we returned to Post 70 at about 4:15 p.m. The day was about 60 miles total on bicycles bringing the Be the One campaign to some of the posts in our county.
